Well, I couldn’t resist sharing a little more from our weekend get-a-way to Great America. Just as I felt like a little kid while I was at the park I also found myself excited like a little kid while editing these images. I’m almost embarrassed to admit this but I have close to 300 images from my day at Six Flags.
I knew I was like a child that day but I didn’t realize I was also acting like a tourist. Have a great Friday and may these images touch the little kid inside of you!

Believe it or not, even within this deliberate and controlled environment all around you are splashes of spontaneous beauty.

One of the biggest advantages of going with a group is that you can have lunch included in your admission fee. Lunch was great and it was all you could eat. Given the crazy amusement park food prices I highly encourage you to seriously consider purchasing a group package with lunch included. I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed the menu my group chose.

There were several bands playing throughout the day and these guys were really good. They played a bunch of “oldie but goodies” that really made you snap your fingers and stomp your feet. This gentleman played his 5-string bass with one hand on several occassions including switching between both his left and right hands. Lookout, he’s a bad man!

I love playing games and no one that day could beat me at this one.

And here’s the championship trophy - an official Six Flags Scooby Do. Pretty cool, huh?

Nothing fancy here but I thought this was just too funny. This is a picture of Scooby’s butt and as you can see this Six Flags Great America toy was made in China. Go figure…

OK, I have several images of this crazy ride and given my challenge with heights I don’t know why. Hmm, maybe it’s time I took a spin on Vertical Velocity!

I just had to include this image as I got drenched at this stage of this ride. You can pay to use these water canons and hit people as they float by. And, as you can imagine there were people standing in line to use these canons. Shame, shame, shame on them!

Since I like to draw I love caricatures. Although I have several of myself I love ‘em and can’t have enough so I will return as this artist was very good. Hmm, maybe I’ll get the Bodybuilder caricature? What do you think, who should I be?

Now, I’m a pretty young dude but when I saw this attraction I felt really old. Yes, you can now play computer games at an amusement park. I love technology but why go to an Amusement park to play a game that you can play at home? First the Fat Boys Reunion doesn’t happen, then high gas prices, and now home-based computer games at large amusement parks. What is the world coming to?

OK, this is more like it…

Hey Sam! That top pic really does look like fantasy land. Did I mention last time that my dad helped build the American Eagle? He worked on the very top! Pretty crazy. Back in the late 70’s early 80’s. I vaguely remember it, I was a tot then.
Scooby and you!!
That looks like a chance for some misadventures…
These are awesome! Just reminds me that great images can be made anywhere.
Hi Josh, that is sooooooo cool! Do you have any other childhood memories of Six Flags?
Charles, you wouldn’t believe the trouble Scooby tried to get me into that day!
Hi fxmixer! Thank you for the kind words and I’m glad that you liked these pics.
